Arc Business Interiors were pleased to help the award-winning John German Estate Agents create a brand-new office space in Loughborough. This is the fourth branch for John German that the Arc team have had the pleasure of working on.
Established in 1840, John German is a trusted and leading estate agent for the Midlands, helping thousands of people move house for decades with their friendly and customer-centric approach. It’s this inviting yet professional feeling that Arc and John German worked together to evoke across all four branches.

Our brief

Before the Arc team set out to transform multiple branches for John German, the process first started by developing new brand guidelines for their properties, which will be replicated throughout the rest of their sites to ensure synergy.
Once this brand pack was developed, we simply altered it slightly to suit each site, using it as a brief to guide the project while also working closely with John German themselves.

This is all part of Arc’s concept-to-completion service, centring on a bespoke approach to design and implementation and helping us to align every project with the individual aims of each client, including John German.

What we did

The new site is in a fantastic location with a beautifully open glass façade where natural light floods in. Through Arc’s work, this was paired with John German’s modern colours and textures to really elevate the design and make the space work. The building now feels bright, vibrant and most importantly, very welcoming.
Along with the design, we also completed internal decoration, flooring, timber cladding, the manifestation and the furniture, external rendering, spray painting, lighting, feature walls, internal signage and bespoke joinery. These comprehensive works were carried out for both the office and the meeting rooms.

The project statistics

Kath Hinsley, an accomplished Arc Project Designer, led this project worth £22,000. The transformed space spanned 100 sq ft and accommodated 10 permanent staff members. Overall, the project took four weeks to complete.

The handover

A representative from John German was quoted as saying that the Arc team ‘really understood our company brand and ethos and worked this into the designs, creating a contemporary look and making the best use of the space available’. She also went on to say that ‘we will definitely continue to work with Arc to refit other John German branch locations’. On that note, the Arc team looks forward to working with John German again in the future!
