Bentley Project Management are a leading construction consultant for businesses across the UK, specialising in strategic project management. Since 2013, the company has delivered multiple large-scale commercial and residential projects across the nation.
Our brief
Bentley Project Management have enjoyed huge growth as a business in recent years, leading them to outgrow their existing premises. They took the opportunity to relocate and create an improved workplace for the future. The new space needed to reflect their brand identity and engage clients with a well-designed client meeting suite.
They also wanted to create a welcoming and attractive environment that would encourage their employees back to the office. To support hybrid working, there needed to be a balance between flexible meeting spaces for online collaboration as well as spaces for face-to-face meetings.
What we did
We provided a full design and fit-out service. For Bentley, we worked closely with the client’s project leads to tailor the plans to the staff’s workstyle and to meet their budget.
Part of the journey for Bentley was a trip to Clerkenwell in London to help choose finishes and loose furniture, and seeing the products in reality was key to the final specification and decision-making process. Acoustics were also an important factor in Bentley’s requirements, and so seeing and using the booths was incredibly beneficial.
Both furniture and meeting pods were an integral part of the design, and so we allowed the client to experience the benefits first-hand before selection.
As part of the project, we created:
– A new external entrance door and canopy
– Branded informal reception area
– Flexible meeting rooms including pods, internal rooms, client rooms and breakout spaces for sociability and impromptu catch-ups
– Central tea point facility
– Full refurbished toilet and shower facilities
– Desk spaces to accommodate the entire workforce
– Our team also carried out glazed and solid partitioning work, new carpet and vinyl flooring, furniture, decoration, signage and branding.
The project statistics
The new workspace spanned over 5,800 sq ft to accommodate 32 staff members. Overall project value was £340,000 and Arc Project Designer, Kath Hinsley, led the project to successful completion within 10 weeks.
The handover
Arc successfully delivered the project on time and on budget, keeping the client’s project leads fully informed throughout the process. Along the way, we adapted the design to accommodate an unforeseen MEP element which could not be relocated. The result was a brand-new space perfect for supporting the continuing success and growth of Bentley Project Management.
