The 3D Group is an automotive parts and diagnostics firm that provides a wide range of high-quality supplies from leading brands. The company were looking to move location to a fresh new office space, and they needed a reliable, comprehensive office design and fit-out team to help them do it.

Our brief

3D Group were moving from a space in Nottingham to a much larger location in the EVO Industrial Park, just off junction 27 of the M1. We were tasked with providing turnkey solutions which included consultation, design and full fit-out.

Different areas of the premises need to fulfil different functions. Our team was assigned with fitting out the space to make it work for the office space upstairs, as well as coordinating and planning the ground floor warehouse to enable a smooth flow for picking and packing.

A former shell, 3D’s new building was a completely blank canvas to begin with. The Arc Business Interiors team worked incredibly closely with 3D Group to transform the premises, ensuring that we delivered their precise vision for the project while perfectly balancing style with function throughout.

What we did

We were involved right the way through, from the early design stages and construction works to providing and styling the eye-catching furniture.

We also moved the 3D Group employees from their old premises to the new one over one weekend to make sure the business was kept fully operational, part of our commitment to minimising or eliminating business downtime during the works.

Overall elements and features we delivered included breakout areas, office floor, boardrooms, a warehouse, picking stations, garage works, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, a server room and canteens. The new space delivered the core office features, such as the boardroom and the breakout spaces, and yet also incorporated bold touches in the fantastic letter lighting and plant wall.

Every area of the office was designed to reflect the functional needs of the business while still conveying their personality and ethos. This included a full design and space planning service from our team, including 2D visualisations and 3D walkthroughs. We took care of every element of the project for our client’s convenience, including painting, decorating, flooring, furniture, M&E services, partitioning, bespoke joinery, graphics, and organising the move to the new space.

The project statistics

The overall project covered an area of 6900 square feet and took 14 weeks to complete. The value of the project was £600,000, and our team provided financial transparency throughout.

The client was pleased with their new space, and every element was completed successfully to high standards and in line with the brief. Arc Business Interiors was glad to have been an integral part of establishing themselves in their new office.
