Case Study - Just Keepers

 

Just keepers Ltd set out on a journey to move into their own purpose built premises within their local area, after finding the land, instructing an architect to design a building within keeping of the surrounding area, they approached us to complete the full design and fit out of the interiors.

 

The client Just Keepers are a mail order Goal Keeping equipment retailer supplying to professional and amateur footballers in over 40 countries throughout the world. Their brief was to enhance the way that they currently work creating a smoother operation from when the orders were taken to leaving the warehouse.

One issue we had to overcome was they were relocating from a single story unit to a two story building, their issue being that they had always worked this way and that the change in working practice couldn’t affect efficiency.

 

We took the clients brief on board and started to work on a number of design options for the customer to peruse, after agreeing a design we set out a cost structure and also a working plan to take the building from an empty shell right through to a finished building including furniture.

 

The aim was to have the company in the new building before their Christmas rush started in mid November, this to ensure that all areas were functioning and that the company had time to settle into life in their new premises.

 

We took over the building at a stage where all that was built was the steel work, cladding, windows and doors, we assisted the customer in obtaining power sources for the building such as gas and electricity, other than the exterior we have completed all areas including plumbing, electrical first fix and second fix, carpet tiles, vinyl flooring, WC’s. shower room, staircases, decorating, air conditioning, heating, partitioning, suspended ceilings, warehouse configuration for worktops, design and supply of the pressroom, reception trade counter, roller shutters, fire doors, security such as alarms and window grills through to the furniture. We even aided in sewage works and tarmacing the car park.

 

On this project we also liaised with the building inspectors to ensure that all work was compliant and would achieve the final certification on completion.

 

All work totalling £130k was completed on time and within budget.
