Case Study - Industrial Marine Silencers
We were approached by IMS to look at installing new office furniture throughout their new site in Cossington which was being purposely built by their existing landlords Merriman’s. On initial contact with IMS we asked to tender for part of the main building work through Merriman’s working as a Sub-Contract in which we were successful, following as the main contractor for Interior Design & furniture.
Brief; To help design the interior layout of the new building including colour schemes, furniture, ceilings and flooring. The client wanted to make an impact when their clients first arrived and a nice open plan area for employee’s to enjoy during working hours.
Vicky our interior designer created a number of options of potential layouts showing different colour schemes, feature walls and different furniture layouts. Once the client had agreed on the colours and the furniture layout we looked into the finer detailing of the types of chairs that the client should have by providing three samples, and on the furniture front wanting desks which could conceal the cables.
Solution; We created a feature wall in the boardroom and main office area, the reception and boardroom furniture we recommended a darker wood finish to create a more executive look, the ceramic tiled floor in the reception area was a high gloss finish which complimented the silver skirting on the reception desk. The main office we selected standard desks in a light oak finish with cable management legs to hide the cables and an ergonomic chair for all staff which could be fully adjusted for comfort. The suspended ceilings were installed before the fit-out using a product from the Armstrong portfolio.
The client was very happy with the outcome and they recommended us to their parent company Bradgate Containers who we are just about to start on site for.
